@stephenrobles Hey, I have ethical reservations regarding OpenAl in general. Is there an option in the new OS versions where we can disable ChatGPT integration entirely?

@bradthornborrow Yes, Craig Federighi discussed in last night’s talk show. It’s off by default, and only prompts to turn on if you ask for something Apple Intelligence won’t do. But you can disable that prompt entirely and never use ChatGPT

The anti Apple brigade is going to be so sad to hear this. One less thing for people who will never use Apple products anyway to complain about.

Wouldn’t want “tell me a dad joke” to be anonymously routed to a server alongside ten billion other requests!

Haha I get the concern. On device rules! Private is king. Nice that folks won’t have to worry about mistapping “accept” on the prompt. I personally am fine to brainstorm on sanitized data etc. with remote LLMs but the more toggles in Settings, the better.
