The investigators from the Bureau of Prisons, the Justice Department’s inspector general’s office and other law enforcement agencies descended on the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, the Bureau of Prisons said in a statement to The Associated Press.

    It is deeply offensive to see that deplorable conditions in a jail only lead to action if a celebrity is being housed there. Or even worse, used as an argument for why (only) that celebrity should be released.
