They will control everything. Americans handed the fascists complete control over the legal system as well as the judicial system. Democracy is finished. There will be no free elections going forward. They made their choice.

Let them. They need to experience the world they apparently want, and there’s nothing we can do to reverse course at this point ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

While I assume the article is referring to House, Senate, and presidency; it’s really legislative, executive, and judgicial

Theoretically the judicial should be considered nonpartisan and objective when talking about this but we know that’s a load of crap now.

Those are the three branches of the U.S. government, but in this context, they mean the three institutions required to pass legislation; a bill must go through both the House and the Senate and then be signed by the President to become a law. If Democrats had taken one of those institutions, they could have slowed the Republicans’ agenda…

When they talk about a “trifecta” in this context it means the presidency, the Senate and the House. That applies to both the national and State governments.

Yes. The confusion is in the wording, not the message itself.

We already know they have the presidency and SCOTUS. The third piece of the trifecta is Congress. They already have the Senate. We’re just waiting on confirmation that they have the House as well.

I mean this was pretty much known early on. It would have been quite the hail mary for the dems to grab what was still unsure based on leanings.

Why were there so many uncontested seats in Alabama? I know Democrats probably couldn’t win but they should at least put forward candidates.

Apparently even when they have millions of dollars more than their opponents, the DNC refuses to do anything they perceive as wasting money.

President and Senate are already called:

In the House it’s 216 R / 207 D with 218 needed for majority. We likely won’t know the full result for several days.

    12 races left to call.

    CA 9 - Leaning Democratic
    CA 21 - Leaning Democratic
    CA 47 - Leaning Democratic
    ME 2 - Leaning Democratic
    OH 9 - Leaning Democratic
OR 5 - Leaning Democratic - Called by local media.

    AK 1 - Leaning Republican
    AZ 6 - Leaning Republican
    CA 13 - Leaning Republican
    CA 41 - Leaning Republican
    CA 45 - Leaning Republican
    IA 1 - Leaning Republican

Looks like it’s going to end up 222 R to 213 D which is +2 for the Republicans and +1 for the Democrats, which makes sense because there had been 3 vacancies.

It’s for the best at this point, they own everything and everything that happens is on them and no one but them. trump can’t say, “oh the House is why I haven’t been able to do this or that thing I said I would do.”
