Brazil’s federal police have arrested five officers accused of plotting a coup that included plans to overthrow the government following the 2022 elections and kill then-President-elect Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

Damn what’s with all these assassination plots this year?
They were arrested this year, but the plot was actually in 2022.
Anyway, last week there has also been a suicide terrorist that tried to kill Alexandre de Moraes (from the Brazilian supreme court) and threatened a bunch of other people. (Turned out he only managed to kill himself.)
This has been a busy time in Brazil.
