Also, they already use LinkedIn for recruiting in similar situations, although this is the highest ranking officer role they’ve used LinkedIn for.

Just curious I can’t imagine the list of people who are qualified is very long. Wouldn’t it have been better to just cold call them all and invite them to apply?
