So my partner does design work and her current project is with a couple of different universities

University of Miami is being really nasty about her work, so I drew this on my phone to show her and she’s been laughing for the last 20 minutes and said you all would probably like it too

It’s a Gator doing a dropkick in front of a cross that’s also in front of the setting sun

I’m doing a PhD in Norway (did my original two degrees in the US) and took courses in Sweden, Denmark, and two in Germany.

Academic administrators are like Nicholas Cage movies; they are either great or terrible.

I went to a university in the US where the university president narrowly avoided prison. Meanwhile I have been fighting a university in Denmark for $200 over an expense claim because they claimed “I reported a bag of potato chips” on my receipt when I did not, and if they looked for 5 fucking seconds they would have seen that.

Meanwhile Germany and Sweden were chill af. Got some sweet goodies from KTH including a tote bag and coffee mug. Great little uni.

I’m surprised they didn’t find a way to fine you over the chips that you didn’t get tbh.

Edit: There’s a 30 something year old guy in my semester and he can’t be part of any of the extracurricular activities because they’re officially classified as “Youth” activities and they go from 18 to 30. He is just literally not allowed to sign up for stuff like suture training.

You know how Oracle has a tiny dev team and a giant legal team?

Universities are like that, but sometimes they also have giant hedge funds endowment managers and giant football teams.
