I think its already been stated why BBC doesn’t use the word. Its loaded.

Half of Gaza is under 18 and Israel’s current retaliation plan is to kill all of them. If the IDF murdering a million kids isn’t terrorism then nothing Hamas did is terrorism.

You’ll never hear the news media call Israel a terrorist state though. You’ll never hear Saudi Arabia described as a terror state even though most the hijackers on 9/11 were saudi and the saudi’s brutal campaign in Yemen killed many people.

Until the press can use the term objectively it just shouldn’t use it.

is that why they are asking them to move?

A skeptic could argue its the same reason cops in the US will start throwing out a bunch of commands to perps they want to shoot.

The reality is that we don’t know and there’s plenty of conflicting information, but the entire history of this conflict is mostly the IDF killing Palestinians and I don’t magically expect a different result this time.

The article title, and this post title, and everything inside of it is disingenuous, and rage bait inducing.

Trying to put words in the mouth of a person, having them deny it, and then putting the words in their mouth anyway in the title is not journalism. It’s just a tabloid

The BBC is quite rightly trying to report factual information without making determinations in the reporting. Not to mention the practical issue, if you label a belligerent, you’re less likely to get media access to that belligerent. Which is one of the missions of a reporting organization.

The title is more than disingenuous. It’s an outright lie. He said: “What do I think about Hamas? Terrorists. It’s a terrorist act. It’s quite straightforward.”
