No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•If Osama Bin Laden was given the option: commit terror acts against the US; or install trump as president. With full knowledge of the results of multiple trump administrations which would he chose?
5·16 hours agoAs soon as 911 happened and I saw the immediate reactionary shift to authoritarian policies I figured our nation had failed. But all I can accomplish are little things, so that’s what strive for. Holding the door, treating cashiers etc with courtesy and respect, whatever small acts of kindness I can do, basically.

5·24 hours agoYeah, victim blaming is generally irrational. And, you know, pretty fucking lame.
If you believe the immigrants are the ones with agency here, you’re choosing willful ignorance. The Epstein class are the enemies, not a bunch of poor schmucks who have it even worse than me - not to mention the chances they’ll have their immigrant status exploited against them is pretty much guaranteed.

2·2 days agoThis almost deserves it’s own write up, lol! But, to be fair, wasn’t there a long period where Muslims basically charged a tax on being non-muslim? I mean, that’s still pretty dick-ish, and I don’t know if they still would kill apostates, so…
