I use inlays or inserts with foot support for a very long time now although I never had problems with my feet. I buy shoes only after I tried them on with such inserts.

Besides medical reasons there’s a another big advantage to such inserts: One can exchange them when they get old and sweaty so the shoe doesn’t start to stink permanently. Can prolong the usability of shoes immensely and help evade embarrassing situations.

In my opinion very much, yes. Bought one at Lidl (30 Euro), and it’s a really solid build and works even with heavier and bulkier bikes.
