I always used to wonder about this when learning about politics in school. It seemed like anyone could do anything but I just assumed everyone was smarter than me. So what happens is people do things and they expect you to be so embarrassed you bow out. And that’s fine for most people except extremely insane people like Trump.

Donald Trump didn’t act like he was guilty, so people just assumed he wasn’t guilty. Doesn’t matter how much evidence you throw at them. If he was wrong and guilty he would have left. And that’s without getting into the financial incentives other people have to lie and play along.
