Even in presidential elections, which are the highest turnout for the demographic, you’re looking at maybe 40% in the standard year. Turnout was better during COVID when tensions were high and there was a lot of momentum to get Trump out, but even then it was in the realm of~50%.

I feel like this implies the youth vote matters anywhere, and the one thing we all know is young people don’t vote.
