In the wake of its historic strike victory, the United Auto Workers says thousands of nonunion autoworkers have reached out asking for support in organizing their plants. The UAW already has plans in motion to unionize the whole US auto sector.
I’m sure someone with more sophisticated understanding of prose than I appreciates this, but the fact that the last line rhymes with nothing else is bugging the absolute shit outta me.

You’ve listened to the Pete Seeger song though right? Solidarity Forever is based on The Battle Hymn of the Republic. They both use an AAAB rhyming scheme and I think are in iambic octameter but I’m not a professional. Pete Seeger didn’t write it, but I love his rendition. He’s got alot of great labor songs.

It was written much earlier for the IWW’s Little Red Songbook by Ralph Chaplin
