these things have bigger warheads than GMLRS, longer range than JDAM and just as precise, but require safe passage for aircraft to be launched from. also, no barriers for their use
It’s a British/French coop, but I don’t know if any Americans or their parts are involved in it. I heard the general commander of europe (who is historically an american, and we have the NATO head guy) said no.

No barriers, what does that imply?
american weapons are restricted in that they can’t hit targets deep inside russia proper. this is french weapon, so no such restrictions apply
not very useful, because range is not that long, but it’s something
But the restrictions were respected because the US asked for it, which means no SCALP missiles deep inside russia either even if they are french?
Also, isn’t the AASMs target distance like 70 kilometres?
Nice though, go bust those AA batteries 😋
i thought that was because storm shadow had some american components?

If anyone knows better, I’d love to know!
From Wikipedia
So no American components, quite usual for French weapon.
