Everytime I want to do something that I can only do in windows, I really have to consider if it’s worth dealing with windows to do it.
I just soft modded my old PS2 so I could boot game backups from a network share. So I’m playing Gran Turismo 3, NFS underground 2, Tony hawk’s Pro skater 4, NBA street vol. 2, and GTA: San Andreas. Basically everything and anything my teenage self loved at the time.
I think having a single app that does that would be very inefficient compared to having an app like the one you’re probably using, that can be configured to do exactly what you want.
My never-purchase-anything-from-amazon lifestyle is vindicated on a daily basis at this point
women are you still have the last few weeks ago and I will be in the bath
JBL bar series of soundbars are shockingly good for the price. I avoided soundbars for the longest time because I didn’t trust it would be up to my standards but I’m very happy with mine.
As for your record player, I’m sure you’re probably aware but it’s a very, very low-end record player. Basically toy level. I don’t say this to insult you but so you don’t get your hopes up on records sounding good on it. If you want good audio from records, next on your list should be upgrading to a nice turntable. Audio technica makes cheap turntables that are decent.
Art gallery followed by some lunch, then visit a record store.
This way you get to know the person’s tastes in art and you can judge if you’re compatible. If they don’t like the art you like it’s probably not a good fit. If they pick up a Taylor Swift album I know it’s not gonna work.
I think a person’s taste in art is a very good indicator. And if they’re not really into art or music then they’re not a good match
I use my headphone jack daily. It’s nice to see there are still (albeit very few) manufacturers providing this
Not OP but every so often when I click on a Reddit link from a search result, Reddit doesn’t actually let me read the thread unless I login
Sasha and Digweed, that must have been a hell of a show
Depends on what you classify as an ad.
Ive started watching the series Long Way Round, which is essentially an ad for BMW.
I click on steam sale ads for video games.
When local stores have sales, they have ads for those sales on their websites which I click on from time to time - recently I was shopping for a soundbar and a local store was having a sale on soundbars so I clicked that ad on their website.
When ads aren’t too intrusive, and they’re relevant, and they’re not peddling garbage I don’t have too much of a problem with them
I miss using my old lg phones, I had the v30, v40, and v50 and they were basically perfect. Now when I shop for phones it’s like looking for the least bad option
the full screen ads for irrelevent (to you) music is one of my biggest gripes. Spotify i’ve never listened to a Taylor Swift song in my life, i don’t give a shit if she has a new album and you know that!
Microsoft urges me to use a different operating system
I legitimately had that case on the right and modded it to give a rat rod aesthetic. It didn’t look too far off from this pic
Totally in the same boat. Less diversity and less content, but I don’t mind that. I like that I can can run out of content and it’s a nice reminder I’ve probably been on my phone too much and should do something else with my time. Using Lemmy feels healthier than using Reddit.
The barrier to entry is lower than you think. Plenty of good free DAWs out there. I use reaper which has an unlimited free trial.
Download some plugins and you’re off to the races. I’d encourage you to jump in and give it a go
Completely depends on if your parents are in your life, if they’re good people and treat you with love and respect.
Also depends on your parents financial status, as well as your financial status.
Most people my age (Millenial) are not as well off as our parents so it wouldn’t make sense to support them.
There is no single answer to your question other than “it depends”
