  • I suspect that this may be partially a result of a recent post of mine that some may considered to be in bad taste. So this response is likely to be a bit biased.

For what it is worth, I considered tagging mine as NSFW but ultimately decided it was not necessary. I thought the image was very clearly a staged representation of drug use. Similar to how the Eric Andre meme is clearly a staged representation of murder. Further, there was no blood nor any indication of physical injury and I liked it to an image of somebody smoking pot or drinking to excess.

Do I think drug use alone require a NSFW tag? No.

Should drug coupled with blood, gore, physical injury, exploitation, etc? Possibly.

  • Reasons people may give a shit:

    • The US government is shoveling huge amounts of money towards an individual that dismisses and devalues half of the world’s population with an active sexual harassment suit against him.

    • Consumers might want to know if they are supporting if they are supporting a mysogynist by using his privately owned social media service or buying energy products / vehicles from a company he heads up as CEO.

    • Trump has announced an intention to have this man lead a new “Government Efficiency Commission” and this behavior reflects both on Trump for the sort of people he elevates into positions of power and reflects on Musk as a potential public servant.

  • There’s a lot of anxiety about what Trump does to Republican ability to win in 2028

They think that he won’t try again if he looses and he is still alive in 2028?

If only there was something that they could have done to stop him from running at all. Like maybe one or two opportunities to have him impeached that they could have seized in the past.

There is just this concern that like, ‘OK, if the party just goes in that direction, then what kind of party is it going forward?

And yet no thoughts of “what kind of party is it that allows this situation to happen twice”.

The outlet also claims concerned Republicans hope Trump’s loss is by a wide margin in order to help stifle any attempts to cast doubt on the legitimacy of his hypothetical defeat.

I bet that “wide margin” they are looking for would be easier if they stopped rigging the system to suppress and underrepresent opposition voters.
