Good book (and pretty decent show adaptation) The Terror provides a supernatural explanation… that also includes cannibalism

I’m not sure if it’s the wildest but the first that comes to mind is “John Dies at the End”
But do you think it has cute babies?
I just watched the documentary (joking, mostly) Purple Rain again a couple weeks ago and the Kid (Prince’s character) is definitely abusive to his love interest. He plays cruel pranks on her, gaslights her, and publicly humiliates her. But it’s all okay because he’s Prince and they’re probably in love.
NITRO BLAZE
I know it’s ludicrous to need to ask for permission. I’m sure they won’t get it.
A “good deal” in the program is to get 150 coins from a pre order, let’s say of the new Astro game. I’m definitely going to buy that game. But then if you pause and think that 1200 coins can be redeemed for $5, you’re getting 62 cents extra cash back from the deal on a $60 game. Not even a discount… PS bucks back. and that’s only if you get the rest of the coin$ to ca$h in.
What is the point of this? Who is he scoring points with? They must have made a couple extra medals by accident.
Don’t talk shit about goblins. Simple as that.
Reminds me of all of those “I paid off my student loans by the time I graduated” (by just having rich parents and living with them and spending their money
Super cool!
I’d like to recommend Laird Barron who mostly writes horror stories and novels. I’ve read his short story collection “The Beautiful Thing That Awaits us All” and there are some really good ones in there (along with some mediocre of course). And his novel The Croning is my favorite horror novel in recent memory. I felt like it could be adapted well into a movie, too.
Another great (very scary imo) novel is Carrion Comfort by Dan Simmons. Might be my top horror novel.
Also, I’d like to second someone else’s suggestion for Between Two Fires.
I had a job that felt like this sometimes, as a contractor for a federal gov’t agency, and I hated it. Be careful what you wish for…
I have only had kindles so I don’t have anything to compare to. But I love them. The paper white is the best balance for features vs money. I have an oasis now and I feel like I just paid more money for nearly the same thing. I don’t like being stuck with amazons book store. But it does have most of the books if ever want to read. Classic books can be a lot cheaper or free. It hurts to pay more than like $8 or $9 for a digital book, but I will confess that I do it anyway if I want the book badly enough. After all, I get many, many hours of entertainment from it. In my limited experience with uncommon books, if it is uncommon in printed form then it probably isn’t on the Amazon kindle book store. Obviously that depends on the book. I have sent PDFs to my kindle before and it was fairly easy, but I’ve never had to do it often. I don’t know if other competitors do this, but one complaint is that you can’t zoom on a picture. For example, many fantasy books have a map in the beginning, and depending on the map, you might not be able to read much of it.
I’m surprised to have a different take than anyone here, so far. When I drink tea in the evening, I don’t drink alcohol. And it’s hard for me to not drink alcohol. It’s a really nice substitute that fills me up, gives me something to hold and drink, and tastes good.
…truckles?
