AI overlords would be based AF. Assigning them resources to be distributed to the masses instead of hoarded by the wealthy. Making sure people get what they need and occasionally what they want. Allowing people to pursue their passion of the day rather than punch into an office for 10 hours to do the bidding of rich assholes who don’t give two shits about them. They had tools to help them that reddit took away. They also kicked the mods that actually cared about the communities they moderated. They were replaced by people who simply wanted the job of moderator despite the mistreatment of previous mods.

They were no experts but there was a lot of experience and goodwill in the moderation of the various communities that was simply wiped out for the sake of profit.
