There was a story years ago about some scientists who dropped a box of tablets into a village somewhere that had no previous contact with modern tech. They went back some time later, and the kids had figured out, not only how to use them, but had networked them too. I wonder what ever happened with that, or if it was even true? I suppose I should google it.
To be fair, I don’t think anyone had moved in there yet.
There is nothing new here. There has always been a vocal, violent, right leaning minority in Irish society. There have been two instances that have made headlines around the world in the past few weeks that may make it seem like Irish society in general is leaning further to the right. I hope this isn’t true.

While not a renaissance fair exactly, there is a jousting tournament in Leeds Castle in Kent once or twice a year. It’s a lot of fun with armour, swords, horses, the whole shebang.

The shows were just 30 minute adverts for the toys. Some of my greatest playtime as a kid was when Cobra Commander teamed up with Darth Vader but was eventually defeated by G.I. Joes and R2D2.
I wonder if it would be as good today as a rematch, might be better left in our memories.
