I’ve visited the state for a week a few years ago, does that count?

Can it just die already? I am so sick and tired of hearing about it and its dumb owner.
I was just watching Tenet last night and the music kind of took me out of it sometimes because I was like, “Fuck, that music sounds awesome”, though not sure how well it will stand on its own, I’ve not tried that yet.
I don’t particularly care about them and they seem mostly useless at my company. We don’t have any onsite HR reps that I know of, everything is more or less done electronically with them, and we end up performing most of the “normal” HR functions within our dept by ourselves. The only reason I know HR even exists is because we have to fill out our own performance reviews every year and we have these dumb SMART goals they make us do, which are the bane of my existence.
These people are enemies of democracy and this kind of behavior shouldn’t be tolerated. If you’re trying to disrupt the voting process, you should be arrested and banned from any political office. Protesting policies you don’t like is one thing, but it should never get to the point where you’re preventing other people from casting their vote.
That’s cool, could we also compare that to what would happen if the wealthy and corporations also put in their fair share of individual action too?
I am over 1,000 miles away from my Mom.
Interesting. The ttrpg book itself is pretty good visually, it’s beautiful to look at from a design perspective, but the rules are just kind of whatever. I’m not a fan of the rules-light approach, it’s like, “Hey, yea, just do whatever you want, have fun!” But our gaming group does that regardless, I want content to sink my teeth into and at least the main Mork Borg book is just very sparse with content. I think I remember the core book wasting something like a one or two-page spread on what I would call the most basic of basic equipment lists. While the pages look nice, there’s just so much wasted space and really kind of scant content.
Hope the game comes out well though.
I know nothing about Alan Wake, but I have played Control, do they take place in the same universe? Or is it just a coincidence that Alan Wake has something called ‘Control’ in it?
I just blocked them, as I seem to have regularly anytime a new community shows up that isn’t English and/or isn’t useful. That whoischic.com is even bad because the pictures aren’t even particularly good, they’re just some bad paparazzi pics of celebrities just out trying to live their lives in unflattering clothing.
It’s dumb and petty, and yet it’s the level that you need to stoop to to deal with people like Trump, they only understand pettiness.
Would love to see it happen, but I won’t hold my breath.
Yeah, I remember my Dad was super excited for Greedfall before it released, had pre-ordered it and everything, and then when we played it, it just felt incredibly mediocre. Like, the potential for an epic game was there, but the world just felt so empty. There was just all this empty space that was there for no reason, they could’ve cut the size of the locales down in half, rather than waste the players time trudging around everywhere. It felt like searching for secrets and talking with NPCs was just a waste of time because 99.9% of the time there was just nothing there. I don’t know if they had planned for more to be there, but just had to cut the budget or release too early or whatever. Just a waste for something that could’ve been really epic.
Whew, guess they haven’t found the bodies yet.
You might try finding a classroom or area that isn’t being used on a consistent basis. So maybe the band practice area or an arts/crafts class or library or some place, you may want to check with a teacher beforehand. It can be hard with school though, depending on how locked down they have you. For myself personally when I was in school 20+ years ago, I was able to retreat into myself with headphones and music, I was able to block everyone around me out no matter where I was at. Sometimes you can even just walk the halls, walking by itself has been my go-to therapy methods, just walk away and get a change of scenery for awhile. Everyone needs mental health breaks if things are getting overwhelming.
Also, remember that school essentially stops mattering after you get out. Yes, it’s important to graduate and get a diploma, but you’re likely to rarely see those same people ever again after you graduate. I’m 43 and I still have days like that where it feels like no one cares, and I’ve got a partner with kids, it’s tough sometimes.
I should’ve clarified that with “extraterrestrial life”
Is there much of a job market for personal assistants? It seems like a potentially volatile job to have, since it seems like largely depends on the whims of one person. Suppose they just decide they have a personal dislike for you and then you’re just gone like that, where do you go from there? Is there an actual network of people you can through to get other similar positions, or do you start from square one and it’s just a word-of-mouth thing? What are the benefits like, is there any medical/retirement benefits?
Yeah, I think there’d be the initial shock of it, but we’ve been pretty well primed as a society for the idea that, yes, life probably exists and it may already be here. So if it turned out they were just communicating with governments, it’d be like, “Oh, so they’re not even here? Huh, that’s… cool… I guess.” Communications would likely only ever come in every few years, so it’d more just be a matter of us having received a signal from intelligent life. Still be cool though, but shrugs would be the general response.
Was it parasitic? I used it for playing music off of Youtube and it would let me put the screen to sleep and keep playing the music? Did it get enshittifed or is it just that it provided a way around Youtube Premium? I haven’t actually used it in ages, though it still seems to work, it opened up at least.
