He doesn’t have the level of power and support everybody is afraid of him having. There are still Republicans who will vote against him. Checks and balances will still work. He will not become Hitler.

Not gonna happen. Supreme Court wouldn’t allow it as the constitution stands, and lots of republicans would be against it. Not all Republicans are far right lunatics. There have been a number of left-leaning votes made by Republicans in Senate or House like keeping Obamacare.

No, even with Stein and Oliver votes she would have lost. She lost really badly, unfortunately. She needed ~4M more votes and all the other votes other than Trump or Harris only totaled to around 2M.

I don’t think we have to worry about never being able to vote again. I do think we have to worry about how the current election process does not actually represent the people’s voices regardless of which of the two reigning parties is in power.

Even though republicans have majority in Senate and House, that doesn’t mean the majority of either is in favor of banning abortion at the federal level, and the fact these states are passing laws in favor of abortion rights shows that many republican politicians either feel the same or are seeing that it’s politically advantageous to be in favor.

I do think power to the states is a slippery slope towards federal ban.

They’ve been campaigning on fear. The Democratic party is not going to save you. They never were. Their empty promises are carrots they dangle to get your votes. They haven’t tried hatred yet, but I think that’s reserved for the uneducated.

Aside from the abomination that is the two party system and electoral college, the real problem is that we are trying to set the same rules across a country that is too big and too divisive to possibly work for everybody. I think it’s time for liberal bubbles to actually secede.

CA and NY make up about 21% of GDP and they contain about 18% of population. Other states are welcome to join. They’d be fine on their own and they’d have land on either coast.

That, or implement tariffs between blue and red states.

Liberals could also leave their bubbles and move to swing states.

People vote based on what they feel is right for them and their families. Even though it may seem like it, most of their votes aren’t based on hatred.

Netanyahu looks like a supervillain. I wonder if he became the way he is because of how society treated him because of his looks, or if he was just the way he is and he looks like a villain.
