It’s funny in a way but still horrifying since someone that narcissistic and ignorant is in charge of the government.
Also zeppo@sh.itjust.works. Not a lot of Zeppos out here.

Maybe they should have done this about a year ago.
It’s amazing how Republicans manage to brand all their shit as the complete opposite of what it really is.
It annoys me a lot when people I know say “Trump is funny”. Not really… he’s a whiny, conceited asshole. He might be somewhat amusing if he wasn’t the President. As it is, this isn’t funny at all.
I have a friend who says “I’m not political” and I’m just what? So you don’t have any opinion on whether immigrants should get fucked or gay people should have rights? His position is “I see so many families and friends torn apart by disagreements so I’m just not political”. Okay. It makes me think he’s kind of a dolt. I don’t feel like it’s possible to not have an opinion on social issues at the least.
Plenty of voter suppression in swing states, like unenrolling people from voter registration lists. Also the ongoing issues like 4 hour lines in urban areas, due to not enough voting facilities and machines, and short or no lines in rural areas and suburbs. Also, how it’s easier for people with certain types of jobs to go vote but hourly workers etc have a harder time getting there since voting day isn’t a holiday.
I assume if they’re investigating or vetting anything it’s: will they be loyal to Trump? Anything good to hang on to as blackmail or extortion material?
It was one of those one person family bathrooms. I had a 3 hour wait and a bottle of rum.
I was pouring rum into it.
I was in an airport bathroom and somehow the auto soap dispenser managed to squirt soap into my open cup of coffee. Fuck those things.
But people were freaking the fuck out about the Covid restrictions. Trump opposed them but also made them more necessary for longer. I guess that’s what the average person doesn’t understand.
That’s one of the bullshit things republicans have propagandized people about for decades. Wealthy people do better under them, and then generally republicans run some sort of scam that ends up in economic disaster and a bailout.
You mean she wouldn’t want a next term?
So just not vote for President or vote 3rd party, I guess you mean, which in a swing state is equivalent to voting for Trump.
Jesus, still with this. Trump is 100% on board with current Israel policy and would like for it to be more extreme, actually. Why would they vote for Trump?
It’s true, his dementia, inate stupidity and lack of interest gives him plausible deniability for many topics.
Yeah, but he and his supporters don’t understand that technicality or gaf about it.
I haven’t had the impression that progressives have been happy with the increasingly lenient policies of DAs in various cities for the past few years regarding crimes like burglary, auto theft and shoplifting. In Denver for instance, police have said that they don’t really bother investigating some crimes since basically the policy is to let repeat offenders out the next day on PR and essentially wait for them to victimize someone badly enough to stay in jail for a while. As someone not remotely conservative, it’s amazing to side with police not doing their jobs due to DAs acting like that.
Some people speculate it’s the gender difference, like how HRC was typically called Hillary. I’m not sure though. I call her Harris but a lot of people thought Kamala was better since it’s a more unique name. Myself, I don’t think she needs that to have greater personal appeal and saying Harris would have helped make her seem more presidential. Having a foreign or Black sounding name is not really an advantage with the voters she needed to court, either. Of course, everything about this election incredibly stupid anyway so who cares at this point.
They get manipulated about and distracted by certain issues. The people who want power know this and exploit topics such as guns, abortion, fear of crime, racism/nationalism, sexism, economic issues and taxes. Plenty of people vote republican because they have been convinced that Democrats will take their guns, allow in too many immigrants (with the implicit idea that immigrants are bad somehow), be worse on the economy, lower taxes, let criminals get off easy, reduce the influence of Christianity, and so forth.
There’s also the decades of propaganda about socialism and communism, and against social safety nets as well as government and anything run by the government vs a private entity. So basically, because they’re not very aware or well informed and all themselves to be convinced by propaganda.
