50 exposures. Hand held, if you can believe it, with my RF 24mm prime macro lens. Helicon does a rather amazing job of fixing the positions and lining everything up.

I need to try this. I’ve seen stacking used for astro photography but I have no idea why it never clicked that this would work for anything.
If you’re willing to put in the extra effort it’s like a cheat code for close-in work. Basically every knife photo I’ve posted for the last couple of years on here has been focus stacked.
