    I feel like half the planet seems to have a noticeable hard limit to their brain and it angers them to be taught anything beyond 3rd grade math.

        Maybe, but not a relevant one here. We don’t teach math so you can remember every single fact you’re told, we teach it so you can develop mathematical reasoning skills. Reacquiring those facts as needed is simple when using them feels familiar.

    all the scientists, engineers, and mathematicians who make our modern standard of living possible and use parallelograms every day to calculate vectors also had to go to the same schools

    These kinds of posts are so irritating.

    Are people incapable of teaching themselves these things? We live in an age of unparalleled information access. Whining about something you weren’t taught in school, which you probably would not have paid attention to at the time anyway, does not solve the problem, nor does it help anyone, least of all the OOP. GAH.
