Ooooo… another avenue that I never considered. My exposure to Hawaii/pacific Islander food comes from a handful of Samoans I went to college with and the weekend bbqs.

My favorite memory of them is one time, we were going to an intermural soccer game and this giant Samoan man walks up to me, and in the softest, almost effeminate voice says “Spam musubi?” And pulls a roll out of his pocket.

I loved those times… I hope life has treated them well.
