In a surprise announcement, the Republican National Committee has revealed it is bankrupt. A spokesman for the party said they had plenty of money in their accounts last week, but today they just don’t know where the money has gone. But not everybody is going begging. Amnesty International, Greenpeace and the United Negro College Fund announced record earnings this week, due mostly to large, anonymous donations.

Stop posting US politics here. Why would anybody outside the US who comes here for “Technology” be interested in that?!

Just because the technology involves politics shouldn’t mean it can’t belong here also.  Why do they have to be mutually exclusive?  I’m not pushing my beliefs on anyone here.

If you read the article (which I can only assume you did), it goes into detail about a how even  hackers from Black Hat and DEFCON (two well known cybersecurity conventions) were donating to a cause they believe in.  It even goes on to talk about hacking voting machines.

      Seems like “technology” to me.

The majority of english-speaking Lemmy users are from the US. Sadly, they think that they are the onle ones. More importantly, they think that US politics is important to everyone outside of the US.

It does affect other countries but not to the extent that people in the US think. The whole english internet is full of random election articles and posts. Yet in German news for example, barely anyone even mentions the US election. Harris is a new candidate and she now has a vice president. That’s pretty much the whole news of the entire month. It’s a side-quote. It’s really not that important.

This arrogance of some Americans is astonishing. You enjoy playing world police but you have no rights to force it on others especially when it’s not even related to the discussion. Literally don’t care where you spend your GDP. We spend it on the people, you spend it elsewhere. I don’t judge you if you stop judging us. We don’t spam European news on you but you should really read it anyways because I feel like you have a gap in your education.

Exactly! Why are we even downvoted for this? People with political agendas are increasingly using every popular sub for posting their shit. Don’t care. Don’t want to see it.

You mean my answer? I’m in Germany. I don’t care about US politics. President this, president that. Literally don’t care.
