Well damn. Maybe they shouldn’t have made the last mediocre DLC $50. Totally killed my interest in the game.
That, and I hate the modern monetization methods of mortal Kombat. I miss the Krypt.
$50? So it was almost the price of another new game for what? A few more characters?
Four characters, and 3 hours of extra story. But I heard the extra story sucked and wasn’t in any way worth the time or money put into it.
I’ve been holding off on picking it up until it goes on a deep deep discount because there’s no way I’m paying nearly the full price of the game for a fraction of the content.
They 100% did this to themselves. Tons of fans loved the precious story DLC’s on the older games. Those were cheaper and way longer. They didn’t justify the extra cost for this DLC in any way.
It also adds on to the story mode that’s the draw for a lot of players, but yes, at $50, that’s a hard sell. I’m paying $30 for a season of characters of Street Fighter 6 or Guilty Gear Strive, but I agree far more with the system mechanics of those games and spend more time with them online.
More or less expected, there is more people playing MK11 than MK1 which i guess they didnt expect
I mean, that’s what you get for naming the newest game in the series as if it was the oldest one.
More likely that it was it exclusively targeted new hardware, which has a far smaller install base. The base game sold well, but not the $50 DLC.
