Sure there were a legit worker protests around there too, but also a riot purposefully targeting armories, militia precints and court buildings, being strongly suspected of being instigated by some outside parties (even incredibly anticommunist Polish wikipedia mentions this!), all this during the big international trade expo happening in the same city.
