Pretty much the title. It’s really weird to scratch my chin and not run my fingers through hair. As a plus, my five year old keeps telling me “you look like a completely different person. But I still know you’re my daddy!”

I was 17, when my dad entered the kitchen for breakfast. Shaven, the first time in my lifetime. It took a while for me to not gasp every time i saw him.

My dad is sadly gone as of a few years ago. I never once saw him clean shaven. It would be … Weird.

The one time I shaved my beard, everyone said they preferred me with it. So that was a few months of shame.

My parents got together at age 18 and my mom died in her mid-fifties. She never saw my dad without a beard either.

My wife has seen me at every stage of facial hair, yet I’ve never seen her with a beard … Curious.
