In my language we call them Church Owls instead of Barn Owls because they nest in churches a lot.

Yeah, Dutch animal names can be very different and sometimes just outright weird. Like the Dutch word for Wolverine is Glutton!

Church Owl is a great name too. Besides living there, the whiteness feels more the color I’d expect at a church than in a barn. They look like little angels to me, though I hope that’s not how angels sound when they sing!
