Very useful extension and I absolutely understand why people would want that. Having said that, in my personal experience, sponsored segments are sometimes the only kind of ad I find even remotely bearable, because at least sometimes the people whose videos I watch get to play around with the idea of peddling products and services. I’m talking about sponsored ads like the kind of stuff Comment Etiquette, i did a thing or YKS do. But that’s very rare.
