This exactly. We all knew Carney was a red Tory and we voted to avoid Maple MAGA. Doesn’t mean we get to sit back and relax and presume everything will be hunky-dory.

Oil money pays for full time lobbyists to be in and around Carney’s ear. If we don’t speak up, those will be the only voices he will be hearing.

Conflating the Conservatives and Liberals because of some ideological overlap isn’t useful.

Let’s lay it out plainly, we prevented the worst case scenario but it still moved us to the right. We need to advocate for left wing policies and do our best to keep our politician’s honest. However we won’t see results until we can apply direct pressure with votes, neglecting the adoption of a more progressive voting system was the true failure of the Trudeau government.

There are people living in rest stops due to the mass amount of people we brought in to depress salaries, who is in favor of destroying the poor with more people?

I’m sure some can hear the sound of the dog whistle you’re huffing and puffing into here but it just sounds like wet fart to me. Maybe you’re squeezing too hard.

Dog whistle against illegal immigration or what?

Yes, I whistle the law should be followed. That we have a shortage of basic services already and don’t need an overburdened healthcare and housing sector in order to feed cheap labor for corporations.

It’s not about bringing in more people

It’s about the legal process of deportation, if someone has a refugee claim then you should investigate it first

We can’t feed the people we have, food bank usage has skyrocketed. We may need to send refugees to the US who actually has the housing to house people.

If we can’t feed the people we have, why are supermarkets dumping bleach on perfectly good food? Sounds like an artificial problem to me.

Because of wage suppression via mass immigration in order to forcefully invert the Phillips curve after the BoC did QE.

Mao also had famines while having plenty of food being produced.
