Well shit. I needed discontinued clips for my PC case and 3D printed listings of a public model were my only source. There is some utility in reselling the stuff. Where else can I go now?
Public libraries in my city have 3D printers even with staff to run them. You can either pay for how much filament your print takes from them (at their cost with no markup) or even bring your own filament.

I think there are 3D printing services that make to order.
For the low low price of 50€ for a 30g part!

Send me the file or a link and I’ll print it for you. I’m sure plenty of other nerds would do the same.
There are also commercial print services, but local nerds are always a great first resort.
Yeah.
If it’s just a few clips and <50g of filament, I wouldn’t even charge for it to help someone out.
Pay postage and we’re good.
There were / are a couple of subreddits, 3dprintmything and another I forgot. Maybe there is a similar community on Lemmy?
Not that I can find.
I was about to say something monumentally stupid, along the lines of, “somebody ought to make it.”
The hell with it. I just made it.

I have no idea how this worked on reddit, but maybe require a certain format for requests? Location and process for starters.
That may be a good idea.
I’m sure we’ll figure out what so the other good ideas are as we go along…
And I’ll be the first vendor!
