President Donald Trump is proposing using American cities as training grounds for the armed forces. He's suggesting U.S. military might be deployed against what he describes as the “invasion from within.” Addressing military brass abruptly summoned to Virginia on Tuesday, Trump outlined a muscular and at times norm-shattering view of the military’s role in domestic affairs. He was joined by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, who declared an end to “woke” culture and announced new directives for troops that include “gender-neutral” or “male-level” standards for physical fitness. The messages underscored the Trump administration’s efforts not only to reshape contemporary Pentagon culture but to enlist military resources in the president's priorities and in everyday American civic life.
This is my thought. I hate it, but it’s what I’m predicting:
With all of this talk about using US cities as a training ground, Hegseth’s spiel about pulling back to handle domestic issues, and this talk of Canada as a 51st state—my thoughts are Hegseth and Project 2025 are looking to invade neighbors and force the Americas into one under US rule.
Canada has resources, South America has resources and human labor. It’s perfect for domination, exploitation, and influencing the rest of the world.
That’s what I think will happen too. They will consolidate their power over the US a bit more and then move forces into Canada. He keeps talking about how he doesn’t need anything Canada has (which means he does) but how great it would be if we did become a state. He mentioned it in that very speech.
I hope we’re wrong!
