This is a crazy story, flying completely under the radar. So is the US just going to invade Haiti under the pretext of fighting gangs?
Are there communists in Haiti or something? I can’t imagine the US would give a dry shit otherwise. The whole story there has been so muddled it’s impossible to tell up from down.

The current Haitian government is a provisory council appointed by the OAS, armed with Washington-paid Kenyan police, and some of the “gangs” are demanding new elections since the president was assassinated in 2019, and also calling for a more sovereign Haiti.
It’s a mess, but also seems inline the renewal in focus on the Caribbean. Control the Sea around Venezuela, isolate Colombia and Mexico’s East while retaking the Panama Canal and Ecuador.
What would be a better option for an international response?
I’m not trying to sea lion; I am genuinely interested in ways to restore order to Haiti.
Anything not involving the US basically. If history is any example these “police actions” have a way of spiraling into full-blown protracted wars, egregious human rights abuses, and widespread death and suffering for the populations the US chooses to “liberate”
