I love posts like these. Where it shows two people who look alike or whatever. They are so confusing to me.

I have face blindness, so I use individual features to tell people apart, rather than aggregate faces, and I gotta say, other than very very general similarities like hair and skin color, the people in question never really look that similar to me.

In this pic, the eye shape is wrong, nose shape is wrong, lip shape is wrong, etc. so to me they look nothing alike.

(Then again maybe this is a joke and that’s the point? I have no idea, hence the confusion)

These are always less-so exact likenesses, and are much more often loose likenesses. Kind of a, squint your eyes/first glance likeness. Most likely it stems from people’s tendency for pareidolia, which I suppose is probably not a thing for those with face blindness, yeah?

I suppose not really. I never could see toast Jesus or cheezus or any of the other things that went viral like that… never linked the two tho, figured it was more related to not being able to do those magic eye “puzzles”.

I do see cartoonish/abstract faces though, just as well as anyone. But I strongly prefer animated media due to the ease with which one can tell different characters apart. So that may be part of it.
