nah it’s Lord Bebo, a well known pro-russian account

Russian propagandists often aim their propaganda at the ukrainian people. He’s saying it like this because he’s trying to anger the Ukrainian population at how corrupt their government is and demoralize them

I frequently wonder if I’m too online and then I hear people here talk about some Twitter account like it’s a guy that lives down the street. I had to look up what “human pet guy” even meant the other day.

        pro-russia mouthpiece

He’s a bigoted chud that likes Russia, but I doubt he’s taking marching orders from the Kremlin, which is what “mouthpiece” implies. That’s a lib Russiagate framing of the world—equivalent to calling Hexbears Russian bots. Most people on the internet just have their own opinions and aren’t funded by political parties or foreign governments.

i never said he was paid by the russian state, that he was wrong or that I even disagree with many of his positions. He carries the russian line though. That’s just a factual statement.

A mouthpiece is a spokesman who speaks on behalf of someone else—a tool wielded and controlled by the originating speaker. It’s named after the part of a brass instrument, because the brass player is in control of their own instrument.

I’d just call them a “well-known Russia supporter”.

fair enough, I just thought it was more nebulous. ie “My annoying neighbor is a total mouthpiece for the Mormons, coming over every day and inviting me to church”. I can see that, i’ll edit my comment because I didn’t intend to imply that.
