You wake up, it’s cold, you recall your grandparents talking about how every home had free central heating, but they were old it must be dementia.
You go outside for a walk and get approached by poor people asking for some change, it makes you uncomfortable and you think to yourself why don’t they just get a job, a memory flickers in your mind about how you heard there used to be great local industry that made wind turbine parts and other useful gadgets… but that must have been that evil forced labor, you smile and think of how lucky you are to live in times where people have been liberated to do whatever they want.
Besides wind turbines? What kind of woke nonsense is that, how can a turbine even generate electricity? Ridiculous, no wonder the state collapsed.
You come back home and see grandpa has injured himself, you react quickly and call a taxi to get him to the nearest hospital, it took some time for anyone to arrive, but finally you are now on your way. On your way you pass by what used to be the local emergency care center and then you bump your head due to the driver being in a hurry and struggling to avoid potholes, you shout “God damn these shitty communist roads.”
you recall your dad telling you there used to be one homeless man in the neighborhood when he was a kid. now there are dozens. freedom isnt free i guess.
