Anything trying to run “private” that introduces anything Google into the environment should be considered compromised. Why would want anything from the biggest corporate ad business in the world in your environment?

People walk around with Google in their pockets. It’s the cheapest and easiest option. They voluntarily install that spyware on top of other spyware.

That sounds suspiciously similar to the kind of gatekeeping Apple is doing.

Big corporate (Valve) is behind it. Not sure why people expect something good to happen. A business is gonna business.
