Yeah fair enough. I’m not super familiar with the genre, still learning, but I’ve gotten a ton of good feedback.

Thanks for explaining it. You and the other comment bpiqued my interest. Grateful.
Interesting. I wouldn’t have pictured platformers as having this much exploration. Thanks for taking the time. I’ll have to check it out.
Can anyone explain to someone who doesn’t get it? How can a platformer be this great? I’m obviously not a player who gravitates to platformers, but I’m just curious about all this attention.
Haha danke für die geschichte. Menschen sind unglaublich kreativ.
Maimais = Memes. Endlich verstehe ich. Vielen Dank OP❤️

Gaming@beehaw.org•Itch.io are seeking out new payment processors who are more comfortable with adult material | RPS
31·3 months agoI don’t think that someone is talking about using BTC or ETH. They’re literally unusable to make purchases (multiple minute settling times and the high costs you mentioned) but any other functional L1 would work. Algorand for examply has ~3second block times with instant finality and costs a fraction of a fraction of a cent to use the network. Those fees couple be subsidised they’re so low. They’re significantly lower than a rail like Visa or MasterCard. But you’re right, implementing it so anyone can easily use and access it is key.

Archaeology@mander.xyz•'Trash' found deep inside a Mexican cave turns out to be 500-year-old artifacts from a little-known cultureEnglish
11·6 months ago“But upon closer inspection, she discovered that the “trash” was actually a cache of artifacts that may have been used in fertility rituals more than 500 years ago.”
Might not be far off. Sometimes that gutter mind pays off😄

Europe@lemmy.ml•Germany forces Pro-Palestinian media outlet red.media to shut down.
10·6 months agoI think of this when Europeans on other threads shit on Americans by saying “come over here if you want that free speech back”. That was never a thing in Europe, and certainly isn’t now in the days of Palestinian genocide. Shit on Americans all you want, but let’s be accurate with those turds shall we?

Gaming@lemmy.zip•Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 doesn't require reflexes, says player who beat the game without dodges or parriesEnglish
2·6 months agoDude absolutely. I accidently got cornered by it so I couldn’t progress till I beat trumpet dude due to how it would reload (assuming i’m thinking of the same guy). I probably fought that bastard 15 times before I beat it. I’ll say I REALLY like the game. It’s absolutely beautiful and i’m loving the slow release of the lore. Even the battles (that can be really frustrating) are great because you can get absolutely wrecked 10 times, but then get the timings down and absolutely dominate the bastard. It’s really simple, but also real rewarding, I find.

5·6 months agoProbably, though also arguably dodging skill didn’t matter, because the comparison case was not dodging at all. It was my first time playing, but I can’t imagine scaling up the experience from there to some of the bosses I’ve fought since, all without dodge/parry.

Technology@lemmy.ml•Theo Von Says TikTok Ban Boils Down To Covering Up Palestine ‘Genocide’: ‘They Want To Own It, Dude’
72·10 months agoSpeaking as someone with no social media (big grain of salt), whenever I’ve heard reporting on people seeing the genocide on their phones it was always referencing tiktok. They never said “people watched children be exploded on twitter or Insta”. That could be due to user preference or whatever, but as an outsider, I have the ambient notion that more of this kind of content was coming from tiktok.
More concretely, in a lot of the stuff that came out of the twitter files, it’s clear that the US government does have, what I would classify as, inappropriate contact with american social media companies that can controle narratives. Without saying something with absolute certainty, the statement he’s making sounds pretty reasonable.
Also nothing is just one thing, there’s probably a ton going on.

4·11 months agoJust finished it for the first time, have been telling all my friends about it. There’s something about how messy the lore is. Some collectables don’t tell you anything except shape the atmosphere of the oldest house, which is so nice. It was so beautiful too. Really good low flying game. I’m gonna definitely check out some other titles by this studio. I’ve played AW 1 and loved the connections to that. Just a real surprising 10/10 for me.

No, but everyone who has been responding have been really positive. Maybe I’ll take a swing at it
