Poutine [he/him, comrade/them]
In French, Putin is called “Poutine” because otherwise his name is a swear word. Poutine happens to also be a regional food from Québec comprised of french fries, gravy, and cheese curds. This is very funny.
I have level 2 autism. I will not understand most of your emoji meanings, or subtle tone use. When in doubt, a tone marker goes a long way.

20·16 days agoEvery time I see a blog post with a title like this from Mozilla, I have a conversation like this in my head:
Me: You’re changing the tab shape again, aren’t you?
Mozilla: Today, we’re announcing a new— erm, yes, we’re changing the tab shape…
Me: Anything else?
Mozilla: We’re centering privacy settings in—
Me: So nothing new?
Mozilla: Not really…
Wow, that is an immense dash.
I think they’re partially trying to weaponize the fumes, partially trying to use this as a shame vector, given how exposed users will feel.
I’m also sure we’ll see accounts of people being trapped inside of one of these, or of one being pushed onto its side with someone inside.

3·26 days agoKenda stopped making 27-inch tires, so now your options are old stock of the (formerly) $5 tires, or $100 tires from the single brand that still makes them, and most stores don’t have them.
If only there were some kind of way to ensure that the spread of a disease could be stopped…

That doesn’t help because I don’t have an internet connection. The whole reason I need it to run on-device is because half the time I’m using my phone, it has no internet connection.
That will not help me when I’m not at home.
If only an open protocol for a decentralized Twitter-like website existed…
