China is only as bad as your tendency to criticize your government. Free speech and associated quality issues aside, it has to function as one.

Note that this account is meant to be specially prejudicial against instances, communities, users (even admins) who either don’t seem to be acting in good faith or if they claim to do so while being inconsistent or applying a heavy dose of favoritism.
The determination is substance based and involves whether they are condoning harassment or making unevenly applied claims and accusations, not just downvotes.
This means I’m not ignoring them, just not even seeing them

Ninja running with bomb vests, what devil has been unleashed.
Begs the question why a lot of your society idealizes the mechanisms that give rise to those Sociopathic Oligarchs. They didn’t spring out of nowhere. Elon Musk is not anyone special. Trump isn’t anyone special. It’s not a just switch the dial problem, it’s a deeply rooted institutional one that will either churn out mild oligarchs at best or wannabe fascists at worst. Trump thrives on an exaggeration of an identity that does exist for a lot of Americans.
Your current system will never do that, and you’ve trained yourself to believe the only viable solution that is widely accepted throughout the world, secession, makes you a slave supporter. There are some states that would start putting them in prison for their crimes, but which ironically enough will never be allowed to by the same gaslighters that want to praise the original secessionists.
So what was it, was the war against secession a war against slavery, or was it a war to maintain American Hegemony for the oligarchs that could see beyond their slave farms and who ended up coining the modern day corporation? Because if it was to fight slavery, gotta tell you, the EU allowed the UK to leave without a problem and without weakening their regulations for private interests.
The problem is the corruption at the level where accepting or not matters. There’s always corruption, but competing interests can help dissipate organized attempts at it.
It’s following more of an OAuth model in the EU rather than give private-company-selling-your-data-off-to-Palantir model.

No, wait, you don’t understand, people with power are that much virtuous and careful with it so they deserve more of it … Yeah, no.
Detached independent Sousveillance that can actually respect things like the GDPR all the way over this shit. People won’t be ignoring this problem that much when it becomes about being in the wrong political party / ideology or not.
It boggles my mind why Americans and the UK would accept this.
Wait, no it doesn’t.

And yet your answer is exactly the right amount of words for the expected reading comprehension of the one making it.
Some people fight for rights. Others like yourself just fight for vibes. Also bears some association to the amount of words they can usually deal with.
(Case in point ↓ - What is this, kindergarten?)

So the same thing smartphones are? It’s easy to run install and run spy apps on them that record everything.
Everybody is getting so anxious about new technology these days. Smart glasses are pervert glasses, AI is completely bad and cannot have any possible good use, etc. Maybe the problem isn’t with the technology, but with the companies and the corruption world wide.
It’d be easy with regulations to have LEDs to go along with recording functions to notify other users when they are, but it seems these technologies are being allowed to run rampant spying under the scummiest of companies who do want to record and obtain your private information. Nobody is putting up even the most basic roadblocks or bothering to be transparent about their software.
Only reason I care is because I have AR ones that are basically a privacy asset - they allow me to work on my work laptop without installing their spyware drivers and do so without anyone looking over to see what I’m doing. No AR that way, and couldn’t even use the cameras to take pictures anyway. The company that made them moved on to support only their latest models. I would jump at open sourced AR glasses, with recording warning LEDs and everything. Hard to come up with a better privacy solution than something only you can see and hear. Unfortunately, unlikely that the companies leading the charge will care about privacy over the money they could get from selling to Palantir given who the majority of the buyers are.

Don’t just saw down flock surveillance cameras. Repurpose those solar panels so they can do some good.

How many times has Mike Johnson sent the House on vacation now? How long did their government shutdown compare to other shutdowns?
It’s just worthless shit stirring and value signalling for a base that doesn’t care about the truth.

They basically block off Cloudflare while there is a game going on.

It’s basically at the thought-crime level of threatening, although a bit more real. More importantly, it’s an excuse industries that are threatened can lock on to so they don’t have to worry about low cost alternatives. A metal rod and some gunpowder = ghoster gun.

They were carrying 2 tons of supply, so Cuba at least got something but that’s less than a truck can carry. I don’t know of any solar panel technology that could provide “5-10MW” that could be shipped in just 2 tons.

A1, where it’s always April Fools’.

A man after my own incompetence.

They chose the .ml instance, that’s enough. I mean, just look at the people downvoting us .ml critics, even they don’t dare do it with their .ml alts.

Iran is going to receive support from China, North Korea, and Russia. Meanwhile those gulf allies have a merchant economy that relies on one single primary manufacturer for their bare-bone military and the rest of NATO isn’t joining in. They don’t need to get played when they are playing themselves.
Probably made by the Flatheads. I Ewok celebrate at Nazi’s end, cuddle bite me.
