Linux@lemmy.ml•My friend didn't have a great experience with Linux
9·1 year agoThey were trying to run it cracked through an alternative launcher.
I haven’t had a frenulum since infancy (believe it or not, from a near fatal teething incident) and have always been able to do this. I used to frak people out by making my tongue disappear while I was a kid.
How else are you supposed to boil wine?
It isn’t just the aim. The ice cold color temperature hurts.

12·2 years agoI admit that I screwed up somehow. I got eager and followed an old search result. Not sure how to fix that or if it is worth it.

1·2 years agoThis is a step forward, but actually using DistroBox is confusing. I’m at the low end of an intermediate user here and don’t see a direct way to get the .deb pkg.

119·2 years agoYeah, no. As soon as I looked into this it requires subscription. Also, the GUI is suspiciously old. Like GNOME from 15+ years ago old.

2·2 years agoYep. I got it. The guide got me most of the way. Some things that I’m guessing are related to DX11 are still broken (mostly textures), but at least the game runs reliably now. Thanks for all the help!

1·2 years agoReply to your edit. Please let me know of the game will work correctly after the initial run. That is the whole issue. Works great… once

2·2 years agoThis is helpful, but that’s Debian based and I’m on Fedora. There will be… complications.

4·2 years agoNo, I haven’t done that. I’ve only done the typical install tries. I’ll check that out now, thanks!

I have to say that the wording here feels oddly suspect. I have never gotten a sticker that said anything other than “I voted!” and it really concerns me about the subtle messaging here. I tried to make a separate post about it, but image posts aren’t allowed apparently.
