I think porn creators would actually benefit enormously from using fediverse services. They own their data/platform, they can’t get kicked off, etc.

Most instances, including yours (and mine), ask for donations. Maybe start there?

If you gave them even $1 a month it would probably cover the hosting costs, though not anybody’s time.

Not sure if you realize, but a lemmy instance can turn off downvotes for the entire instance. So we’ll see if instances with downvotes disabled will do better.
