This was in California. My American history teacher was a confederate defender. Marked it partial credit to say the Civil War was fought over slavery. Full credit for the answer “states rights.” Fully wrong when I said “states rights for its citizens to own people like property.” His ignorance was astounding even to my 17 year old self. How much fun would it have been if instead of canceling, they just didn’t show up? Great big advertising schemes, tons of hype, and then a great big silence. Nothing will happen. He’s too important to the conservative (bowel) movement. If ignorance of the law is no excuse for breaking it, then machinations of enforcement, legislation, and interpretation of said law should be held to the highest standard. He should get triple the maximum sentence because of his position.

In my town, roads have potholes deep enough to cause damage to cars. Many intersections have been down and operating as 4 way stops for months. But somehow there’s money in the budget to do this shit. I think some vandalism might be in order to teach priorities.
