sounds like they allegedly wrote some stuff to get faster downloads/avoid throttling while they were allegedly pirating books from shadow libraries for their AI
no you’re thinking of an espresso. An estonian is when you assault a fortification with ladders.

25·3 months ago“The premise, which they didn’t dispute, was ‘We’re talking about potentially the most destructive technology ever invented — what if we sold it to Putin?'” an exasperated Hedley told The New Yorker.
Why build such a place? Simple. The Umbrella Corporation derived its primary income from the sale of viral weaponry, something that’s impossible to test in the real world. They re-created the center of New York, simulated an outbreak, showed it to the Russians and sold them the virus. They simulated an outbreak in Moscow, sold it to the Americans. An outbreak in Tokyo, sold it to the Chinese. An outbreak in China, sold it to the Japanese. Exactly. Everyone had to have it. The Umbrella Corporation built a new arms race.
this is literally the plot of resident evil retribution (2012). idk if its “near comic book villany” this is plagiarized “video-game-adjacent-movie villany”. on brand for the ceo of plagiarism machine i suppose.

source: former evangelical freak who was homeschooled who went for the air force and fortunately washed out of basic before i could graduate to do war crimes.

9·5 months agoif it makes you feel better, most planes are whirling blade planes, the whirling blades just live inside a nice housing that keeps them safe.
well i mean unless birds or ice get in there in which case they blow up or catch fire or fly out of the housing ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯

two recs, nextcloud notes using the quillpad app (you need a nextcloud instance tho) or SilentNotes. Silentnotes has the downside of not having a desktop app (yet, its apparently in the works eventually) so if thats a concern, nextcloud with quillpad is probably a better bet.
