It’s even more fucked up for the EU to do it IMO. We knew it was coming with Trump, he said it. The EU wants to pride itself as a bastion of freedom and then votes for fash shit like this.

The difference being that in this case migrants are actually having their claims processed and these are people who have actually been through the correct processes and procedures and have been deported?

Creating a procedure where you deport people to a third country where they float around unable to work for sustenance, let alone any kind of future until they get deported again doesn’t make it better. At least if there wasn’t, you could pretend the system wasnt designed to be both racist and cruel.

This Regulation is going to create a draconian detention and deportation machine,

The deal also allows authorities to search migrants and “relevant premises”

The legalisation of return hubs outside the European Union, the green light for the detention of minors, home visits inspired by (US) ICE practices: The legal arsenal serving a xenophobic ideology is now complete.

No need for me to add a comment. Let’s see the EU defenders here defend this one.

When Denmark is working on “transit hubs” you know shit is about to go down.

Denmark was one of the first countries in Europe that advocated for acceptance of migrants after WW2.
