    This is a pretty great example for showing how a large part of propaganda is just framing/focus. If you wrote an article with the title “Boxer blames opponent for his ‘bitter defeat’” then you’d be rightfully mocked, but people dont notice it in situations like this.

    The German government constantly talks about Russia like some sort of enemy, so it would only be logical that Russia should want to hamstring Germany. Point that out and the story isnt as spooky anymore: “Country loses UN election because of opposition from enemy country” isn’t really a story, it’s just why some things happen.

    The crazy part is that this time the propaganda is just a lie though, since it wasn’t russis. A more accurate title would be “Germany blames Russia for lost vote, despite spain and Portugal being the ones to vote against”.
