Seeing Bryan Cranston as a goofy, kinda dopey dad when you’re used to him being an unhinged violent drug dealing is quite the tone shift.
Seeing Bryan Cranston go from a goofy dope of a dad to an unhinged violent drug dealer was quite the tone shift. That’s how it was for me. I was a pretty big MITM watcher way back when, the channel it played on was one of the only ones I could receive with an antenna.
That one’s funny because Breaking Bad kinda undergoes that transition in itself
Back when i started watching the show, i found that was part of what made it hit so hard.
They did a reunion micro episode where hal and Louis are in bed and hal wakes up from a terrible nightmare and describes breaking bad to Louis who calms him down and they snuggle up and go back to sleep
Lois > Skylar
Jane Kaczmarek is a babe
I mean, she is, but Skylar was dealing with a sociopath drug kingpin, and Hal and Lois are the most in-love couple I’ve ever seen on tv
Hal and Lois are the most in-love couple I’ve ever seen on tv
They are super cute.
Makes me jealous, my parents fucking hated each other for pretty much my entire childhood. Malcolm’s family is clearly dysfunctional as fuck but it’s clear they do all love each other.

Did you see the gag “alternate ending” to Breaking Bad that was a Malcolm in the Middle bit that framed Breaking Bad as just Hal having a nightmare?
that was a spoof of some other guy who was on two shows back in the day. bill newman or something.
Bob Newhart. They basically rebooted his own show, and ended the second show with the “it was all just a dream” gag with him back in the first show.
I think I did see that once.
also funny to watch the MITM reboot after that as well.
mild spoiler
hal takes a ton of drugs and has a spiritual journey for the majority of one of the episodes. smh walter would never use his own supply.
no more half measures hal
