Ooooo… another avenue that I never considered. My exposure to Hawaii/pacific Islander food comes from a handful of Samoans I went to college with and the weekend bbqs.
My favorite memory of them is one time, we were going to an intermural soccer game and this giant Samoan man walks up to me, and in the softest, almost effeminate voice says “Spam musubi?” And pulls a roll out of his pocket.
I loved those times… I hope life has treated them well.
I will warn you to never try spam macaroni and cheese.
It tasted okay.
But at 3 o’clock in the morning, I awoke.
I awoke to feel my butt hole opening up to let out the longest continuous silent fart I have ever experienced in my entire life.
It was a long, slow, unbroken woosh, like my butt had been waiting to exhale my entire life up until that moment, and it had to wake me up to announce that.
I honestly wish I had just shit the bed. That would have been far less traumatizing.
About the best way to eat spam, in my opinion.
Second only to spam fried rice
Ya know, now that you mention it, I’m not sure I’ve ever had spam fried rice. That might have to go into the rotation.
