Nobody wants to bring in shipments because shit could change in the time it takes to get here.

Even “reshoring” is a bad business call because all of the equipment and materials that go into that are more expensive and uncertain.

If Trump doesn’t fold soon, we’ll be on track for a sequel to the Great Depression.

Even if shipments resumed, and there is no indication of such (that I know of), with the time it would take for freight to make its way to consumers, not to mention the resulting congestion, it be long enough to cause serious trouble. I’d be surprised if the drepression isn’t already there, and the symptoms are just about to manifest

Just a few more weeks of this will cause enough trouble in the supply chains that even if Trump completely drops all tariffs to zero, there will be significant economic problems. It takes at least 2 weeks for a ship to come from China and that is assuming that everything is running smoothly.

Even if us from other countries are affected, let it happen, I want to see this Western world cope and seethe about this timmy-pray
